Statement
Viña Revelado commissioned us to develop a program linked to wine-related activities in Nantoco, in the Atacama region. Among the programmatic requirements was the need to incorporate leisure and recreational activities that would be integrated with the conventional production program.
To achieve this, we used the standard layout employed for production purposes as a reference, reconfiguring it to establish a new system of relationships through various spatial connections that could simultaneously offer a degree of functional versatility.
The design proposes a "productive edge" configuration of varying lengths that creates a green enclosure for the site's activities, playing with the seasonal permeability of the grapevines and their natural character. Additionally, a sequential path is planned to link the various spaces across the site, incorporating diverse, themed activities related to the winemaking process; this creates a journey immersed in inward looking spaces that culminates in a central area, resembling a forest clearing, surrounded by various native plant species.
